I had finished wathing FMAB animetoday, after a whole year... What a day..
Gosh, the way a single fmale mangaka could do a story like this makes me mind blown... like, WHAT!!? THE MILITARY< EXPLOSIONS, CHIMERA,OLD MEN AND PRIDE!?!??!?! Jaws dropped.
First of all, I gotta say the character are amazing. My favourite ones are Ling Yao and Envy :D
Alphonse was kinda weird and also cute athe same time as he has a manly body with a 12 year old kid's voice. Lan Fan is best girl in the anime , hands down. Overall , I rate the character design's a 9/10. The 1 is because: 1) Boobs are drawn big (NOT FULL BUT y'know those 2 small lines on women's chest ) Hiromu really cooked on drawing men with big absXD omg im so fascinated on that woman to draw those guys. O-O I wonder how she draws and arrange her characters according to the storyline so neatly...
The fact that she's female and has alot of buffy male characters is so wow.
Next , the story! Ermm,, in this part , I can't explain it clearly since I dont understand much how the story goes. Its like, dizzying up the headd . Like who goes where and what happens next after he goes there ,smth like that. Overall, i kinda rate 5/10 cuz it involves god , which is quite sensitive to me as a muslim, and theplot where the human transmutation is connected with the dwarf makes the audience lost..
Apart from that , the background lookscool. It kinda has the cool and breezy vibes, especially where Winry and the Elric bros live. I like it! 10/10, simple yet engaging.
The music? CHIP ME IN!!! Really love it. The op and ed song are all good! 10/10.My most fav song is Let it Out (ed) and Hologram(op)
The ending was okay. I cant believe they used Hologram as the ending song... The ending maked me smile:) I was expecting they showed to the audience an appreciation of watching the anime like"Thanks for watching! Untilthen.." but instead they gave us"fin" which iskinda boooooring. Lol, i think they are exhausted after animating a whole bunch of explosions and blood. Ah and also , I'm so terrified that they animated this series somewhere bacck in 2008-2009, and I looked at the graphics and animation was so damn smooth and detailed,omg. The technology and lif in Japan is really fast , I gotta say...
One thing , I cant find any of the behind the scenes production of this anime. i thought they'd have it, but it seems there aren't any.. Despite the release of the anime is quite old, i even searched up fmab in japanese but sadly , there arent any of those exist.Man ,if they post their BTS im sure the fandom would be morefun to talk about the cast , the animators, etc.
One last thing, even the mangaka herself hasnt revealed her face to the public. Man ,i wonder why mangakas often hide their faces.. Well, in my theory , i think its because of their privacy and to avoid people from stalking them.. Ah , now i get it. When thousands of people read your work of art online , no- millions even, get to know ur so called famous work, i bet someone out there- must be planning smth evil on you- so u gotta becareful and one of the preventive measures is- to hide ur face... For example, even male mangakas like Arawi Keiichi doesnt reveal his face online and themedia even covered him.. Idk , but on the other side, JunjiIto, the famous horror mangaka reveals his face? Man , idk anymore, i think its basedon their preference ig. Like the japaneseproverb , 人それぞれですよね。
I think that it for my FMAB review. I had some laughs , sweet moments with thatanime. But one thing that scares me is that- I am a various so called otaku person- and that means I have no any allies to contact with. If so, then they would just be wasting my time cuz i know they arent the types like me. I remember one time last year , when I recently discovered thisold anime called Oban Star Racers, and i really had a big phase on it- and I just discovered that anime werent popular sm and that makesmekinda depressed since I have no allies to hyperfixitate with. And as a result, i was stuck in a spiral of gloominess- I was just communicating with my own thoughts and I was sad at that time as I felt alone to obsessed smth that doesnt exist anymore to this day- its scary when you enter that phase. Lolz, alhamdulillah i recoveredfast and leave that phase.
No, im growing up and I dont want to repeat the same mistake again.. Iknow the fandomis quite dry and the author of FMAB is really old now , but i guess this willjust make a sweet memory to remember in the future , and maybe as a reference and an inspiration too for one of my comics ,mainly Saikonika.
